MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd. has been awarded the Cyprus Airports Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS) contract.
MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd has been awarded a prestigious contract to install a complete ‘Baggage Reconciliation System’ for the two existing Cyprus Airports at Larnaca and Paphos. The ‘BRS’ facilities are due to be operational at both Airports before the end of 2007.
The award of the Baggage reconciliation contracts at Larnaca Airport Cyprus and Paphos Airport Cyprus was won against intense international competition and further highlights the commitment of MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd in the field of Airport Technology.
The new system is designed to ensure the safe, timely and accurate loading of passengers’ baggage onto aircraft and complies with European legislation for the authorisation of passenger and baggage matching.
The BRS solution is part of the ‘MacH Baggage Services Suite’ which also includes the ‘Mach SAC’ (Sort Allocation Computer System) as part of its family of software and which has been successfully deployed at Birmingham International Airport.
The inclusion of the Baggage Reconciliation System into the ‘MacH Baggage Services Suite’ now allows MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd to offer clients the complete totally integrated technical solution for a baggage handling system.
This technical integrated solution is inclusive of Baggage handling systems, PLC control systems, Flight Information Display Systems, Baggage Information Display Systems, Sort allocation Computer Systems, and Baggage Reconciliation Systems.
The BRS system for Cyprus will use Symbol bar code scanning technology and represents the first product developed as part of the Symbol partnership programme. The system will also make use of the latest standards and practices of the Microsoft platform for code development. |
