The Worlds most famous sports car manufacturer, whose name is synonymous with prestige and quality have entrusted MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd to engineer, design, supply and install the complete Andon Quality system for the critical& Final Assembly operations at the Aston Martin Gaydon Plant.

The award by Aston Martin to MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd for the Trim & Final Andon Quality system follows on from a number of major projects that MacDonald Humfrey Ltd has recently undertaken for the plant.

This latest project incorporates the integration of the MacDonald Humfrey (Products) Ltd Intelligent Information Display Boards for shop floor visualisation of critical quality information.

The complete scope of the quality system to be installed by MacDonald Humfrey Ltd is based on a full turn key solution consisting of: - Engineering design, PLC software design, SCADA Software, Control Panel Modifications, site installation of Andon quality pushbutton stations, Quality Information Boards, testing and commissioning, documentation, training and support.

The system will offer Aston Martin full shop floor visualisation of line side quality issues for immediate response and rectification along with historical trend and analysis data.

A unique feature of the system being installed is the ability for managers to remote view the Andon shop floor information over the factory wide intranet system.
