Following on from the successful completion of a major crane store control system upgrade project and the completion of an Andon Lean Manufacturing Process Solution at the Caterpillar Desworth plant, MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd have been awarded a 24 hour 365 day technical support contract by the Caterpillar Engineering Group.

MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd have further cemented their relationship with the Caterpillar Group following on from the award of a 24 hour 365 day technical support contract.

The support contract will cover all of the recent systems that have been installed by MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) inclusive of the Crane Store upgrade project and also the very successful Andon lean manufacturing process solution that has lead to major increases in production capacity for the plant.

Also included within the technical support contract is the existing paint shop facility.
