Birmingham International Airport Order further Mach-SmartLanes following on from the major success experienced in their recent trials of the product.
Following on from the major investment announcement of Birmingham International Airport in their new centralised one terminal concept, Birmingham Airport has selected from the MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd, Mach-Secure suite of products the Mach-SmartLane and the Mach-SmartView products to undertake trials in advance of the new security facility opening.
This trial period has resulted in major increases in customer satisfaction, operator efficiencies and a major increase in the security integrity.
Consequently and in advance of the new outbound facility being built Birmingham International Airport have brought forward their programme to install the Mach-SmartLanes into the new facility and have opted to increase the trial lines to four systems in the existing security areas.
As with all major international airports Birmingham International Airport’s main driver is customer satisfaction and the development of the passenger experience. To achieve this aim Birmingham Airport has selected the new Mach-SmartLane coupled with the Mach-SmartView as the solution to the problems currently being experienced at all Airports in the area of outbound security screening.
The new Mach-SmartLane® which has been installed with great success in all three terminals at Manchester Airport has resulted in major increases in efficiency and throughput and has made a major positive contribution to the overall passenger experience.
The new Mach-SmartLane® is an Integrated X-Ray baggage tray handling system that ensures optimum performance is achieved through the out bound security screening process.
The new Mach-SmartLane® is only part of the ongoing story of innovation and development which has been undertaken by MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd in the field of Airport Passenger Security.
The new Mach-SmartLane® is one of a family of products currently being released by MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd. The total Outbound security family of products reside under the name of Mach-Secure and includes the following product range: -
